The idea for YourMind started a few years ago when, after telling my friends and family that I was suffering from symptoms of anxiety, I realised that many people around me were facing similar struggles.
After some research, I found that a significant portion of those suffering from anxiety and depression felt they did not have the necessary tools and resources at their disposal to improve their mental wellbeing. An even larger portion felt like they should be able to deal with it alone: “if it isn’t bad enough to require medication then surely it isn’t worth making a fuss about?”
I told myself that if I could go from dreading my daily commute on the tube to using it as a productive part of my day, then others could too. I strongly believe that time, money and stigma separate many of us from mental well-being, and I want to change that with YourMind.
